Inbox Notifications
How submission notification emails work — three settings, three places.
Three settings determine whether a submission emails you and what shows up in the message. They live in different places on purpose — confusing them is the most common support question we get.
The three-link chain
- Form → Delivery sets the recipient list (your account email plus any CC addresses), the webhook, the Sheets sync, and the Slack post. This is where submissions go. Open Delivery docs →
- Inbox stores every submission regardless of delivery success. Even if your email bounces or Slack disconnects, the submission lives here and can be reviewed.
- Account → Notifications controls whether you specifically receive a notification email for each submission. Free-tier accounts can't disable this because that's how Free tier works — you upgrade to opt out of the per-submission email.Open Notifications docs →
If you're not getting emails
Check, in order: (1) is the form active? (General tab). (2) is the recipient correct? (Delivery tab). (3) is the email landing in spam? (Check your mail provider). (4) is your account email actually verified? (Account → Profile). The submission itself almost always arrived — Inbox is the source of truth.
Team workspaces
In a team workspace, the primary notification recipient is the workspace owner. Add team members as CC recipients in Delivery if you want them notified too.
