Getting Started

App Tour

The four top-level areas of the Static Forms app, what each one is for, and how they fit together.

Once you sign in, the app is organized into four areas you can switch between from the left sidebar: Inbox, Forms, Workspace, and Account. Each area has a clear job — knowing which one to open is the fastest way to find what you need.

The big idea

Most form behavior (delivery, auto-replies, captchas, branding) is configured per form inside the Forms area. Workspace-wide settings (team, billing, AI credits) live in Workspace. Your personal profile lives in Account. See Per-form vs Workspace Settings for the full mapping.

Inbox

Inbox is where every submission across every form lands. It uses a two-pane layout: the forms list on the left, submissions on the right.

What you can do here

  • Filter by status with the Inbox, Spam, and All tabs (each shows an unread badge count).
  • Open a submission to view its data in the Message tab or its delivery timeline in the Delivery tab.
  • Reply to a submission, mark it as spam, delete it, or copy its submission ID.
  • Pin a form to the top of the forms list with the star icon.

Forms

Forms is where you create forms and configure them. Each form has its own editor with eight tabs: General, Delivery, Custom domain, Branding, Auto-reply, AI reply, Security, and Spam filter. Changes are saved with the shared save bar that appears whenever a tab has unsaved edits.

What you can do here

  • Create a new form from the Forms list.
  • Open any form's editor to configure recipients, webhooks, captchas, spam filtering, branding, auto-replies, and AI replies.
  • Copy the form's API key and embed snippet from the General tab.
  • Pause a form by toggling its Status off — without deleting it.

Workspace

Workspace covers everything that applies to your account as a whole — not to a single form. It has five sub-pages: Team, Plan & usage, Billing, AI credits, and Custom domain.

What you can do here

  • Invite teammates and assign per-form access (Agency plan).
  • See current submissions, forms, and team-member usage against your plan limits.
  • Open the Stripe billing portal, manage payment methods, and toggle overage billing.
  • Top up AI reply credits and configure auto top-up.
  • Register and verify the sending domains used by your forms.

Account

Account is your personal profile, separate from any workspace you own or belong to. It has four sections: Profile, Security, Notifications, and Delete account.

What you can do here

  • Update your name and start an email-change flow (with one-time-code verification).
  • Connect or disconnect Google sign-in.
  • Toggle product-update emails and (on paid tiers) per-submission notification emails.
  • Permanently delete your account once any active subscription is cancelled.

What's next

Now that you know where things live, read Per-form vs Workspace Settings to learn which settings moved where compared to v2 — it's the single biggest mental shift.
