Pro Feature

CC Emails

Send copies of form submissions to multiple email addresses

CC Emails (Carbon Copy) allow you to send copies of form submissions to additional email addresses beyond your primary account email. This is useful for teams, departments, or backup notifications.

Pro Feature: CC Emails are available for Pro and Agency tier users. Upgrade your plan to unlock this feature.

Key Features

  • Add up to 5 CC email addresses per account
  • New CC recipients must verify their address before delivery starts
  • Verified CC recipients receive the same email as the primary recipient
  • Each CC email counts toward your monthly email usage
  • Bounced CC emails are automatically filtered out
  • Independent configuration for each account

How It Works

When a form submission is received, Static Forms sends the submission email to your primary account email address and includes all configured, verified CC recipients. All recipients receive identical emails with the form data.

Email Delivery: All CC recipients receive the same formatted email with the complete form submission data, including any file attachments.

Setup Instructions

1. Navigate to Settings

Go to Settings → CC Emails

2. Enable CC Emails

Toggle the "Enable CC Emails" switch to activate the feature.

3. Add Email Addresses

Add up to 5 email addresses that should receive copies of form submissions. Email addresses must:

  • Be in valid email format (e.g., user@example.com)
  • Be unique (no duplicates)
  • Not exceed the 5 address limit

4. Save Configuration

Click "Save Configuration" to activate CC emails for your forms.

5. Confirm New Recipients

Newly added CC addresses receive a verification email. They must click the confirmation link before they begin receiving form submission emails.

Usage Counting

Each CC email counts as one additional email toward your monthly usage limit. This ensures fair billing based on actual email delivery.

Example:
1 form submission + 3 CC emails = 4 emails counted
(1 primary email + 3 CC copies)
Delivery Protection: New recipients are held in a pending state until they verify. If a verified CC email address later bounces or complains, it will be automatically filtered out of future submissions and will not count toward your usage.

Per-Account Configuration

Each account has its own independent CC email configuration. To configure CC emails for a specific account, select the account from your dashboard and navigate to its settings.

Use Cases

Team Notifications

Send form submissions to multiple team members simultaneously. Perfect for sales inquiries, support requests, or shared inboxes.

Department Routing

Route form submissions to different departments or stakeholders. For example, send contact forms to both sales and marketing teams.

Backup Email Addresses

Add backup email addresses to ensure important form submissions are never missed, even if your primary email has issues.

Multi-Site Management

Use child accounts with different CC configurations for each website or project. Each child account can notify different teams or stakeholders.

Best Practices

  • Only add necessary CC recipients to avoid cluttered inboxes
  • Ask recipients to confirm promptly so they do not stay pending
  • Use valid, monitored email addresses to reduce future suppression
  • Consider using child accounts for different projects with different CC needs
  • Monitor your email usage if using multiple CC recipients on high-volume forms
  • Update CC lists promptly when team members change

Troubleshooting

CC Recipients Not Receiving Emails

If CC recipients aren't receiving emails:

  1. Verify the email addresses are entered correctly
  2. Check whether the recipient is still marked as Pending and resend verification if needed
  3. Check spam/junk folders on the recipient's end
  4. Ensure the "Enable CC Emails" toggle is on
  5. Verify you've saved the configuration
  6. Check if the email address has bounced (it will be auto-filtered)

Usage Higher Than Expected

Remember that each CC email counts as an additional email. If you have 3 CC recipients, each form submission counts as 4 emails total (1 primary + 3 CCs).

Email Address Validation Errors

Ensure email addresses:

  • Follow standard email format (user@domain.com)
  • Don't contain spaces or special characters
  • Are not duplicates of existing entries

Limitations

  • Maximum of 5 CC email addresses per account
  • Each CC email counts toward your monthly email limit
  • Available for Pro and Agency tier users only
  • New recipients do not receive submissions until they verify
  • Bounced or complained-about addresses are automatically blocked from future sends
