Formspark vs Static Forms comes down to how you want to pay. Formspark sells submissions in one-time bundles that never expire. Static Forms sells monthly or yearly plans, and its free plan refills every 30 days. Which one costs less depends on how many submissions your forms get, and the answer flips twice between a hobby site and a busy one.

We make Static Forms, so read this as our take. Every Formspark figure below comes from Formspark's own pricing page, checked on 30 October 2026. Every Static Forms figure comes from our pricing page on the same day. Formspark's page shows a "$" sign without naming the currency, so we assume US dollars.

If you only want the feature table, the Formspark alternative page has a shorter version.

"Bundle only" means Formspark's compare table marks the feature as missing on Free and included with the bundle. "Not stated" means the pricing page doesn't mention it. That doesn't mean Formspark lacks it; check its pricing page if a row matters to you.

Is Formspark free?

Yes, but the free allowance is a one-off. Formspark's pricing page says every account starts with one workspace holding 250 free submissions. When those run out, you buy a bundle. Extra workspaces start with zero, and bundles belong to the workspace you buy them for.

Static Forms' free plan is also 250 submissions, but they refill every 30 days, with one form. A portfolio or small-business site that stays at or under 250 submissions every 30 days never has to pay.

Say your site gets 40 messages a month. You use up Formspark's free submissions in about six months, while on Static Forms you stay on Free.

Formspark pricing: how one-time bundles work

Formspark has one paid product: a bundle of 50,000 submissions, paid once. On 30 October 2026 the pricing page showed $25 next to $50 with "Save 50% now", so the bundle sold at $25 that day. The page doesn't say when the discount ends.

A bundle also raises the workspace to 100 forms and 50 team members and adds the "customer assistance team" support tier. Formspark's page says bundles "do not expire" and that when you run out you "simply buy another bundle". Nothing renews automatically.

Static Forms pricing: plans that reset every 30 days

Static Forms plans are subscriptions with a monthly allowance:

  • Free plan: 250 submissions every 30 days, 1 form, honeypot and reCAPTCHA v2 spam protection.
  • Starter plan: $6/month or $48/year ($4/month billed annually) for 3,000 submissions a month, unlimited forms, file uploads, webhooks, autoresponders and AI Reply.
  • Pro plan: $9/month or $90/year ($7.50/month billed annually) for 25,000 submissions a month, plus Google Sheets and Notion sync, form rules, custom sending domain, branding removal and 3 team members.
  • Agency plan: $19/month or $192/year for 30,000 submissions a month, with unlimited team members.

Unused submissions don't roll over into the next period, so a quiet month doesn't bank anything for a busy one.

What 12 months costs at six volumes

This table is for a new account over its first 12 months. Formspark costs assume the $25 bundle price shown on 30 October 2026, the 250 free submissions spent first, and whole bundles bought as needed. Static Forms costs use the cheapest plan whose allowance covers the volume, billed yearly. Monthly billing costs more: $6/month for Starter and $9/month for Pro.

Submissions a month Formspark, first 12 months Static Forms, first 12 months
100 $25 (1 bundle, lasts for decades) $0 (Free)
250 $25 (1 bundle) $0 (Free)
1,000 $25 (1 bundle, about 4 years' worth) Starter, $48/year
3,000 $25 (1 bundle, about 17 months' worth) Starter, $48/year
10,000 $75 (3 bundles) Pro, $90/year
20,000 $125 (5 bundles) Pro, $90/year

The cost flips twice:

  • At 250 submissions every 30 days or fewer, Static Forms is cheaper. It costs nothing, and Formspark needs a bundle once the first 250 are gone.
  • From about 250 to about 12,500 a month, Formspark's bundle is cheaper. Three bundles ($75) cover 150,250 submissions in a year, counting the free 250. That is about 12,500 a month, and it is still less than Pro's $90/year.
  • Above about 12,500 a month, Static Forms Pro is cheaper, up to its 25,000 monthly allowance. Formspark needs a fourth bundle ($100) at that point.

Two things move these lines. Leftover bundle submissions carry into year two, so at 1,000 or 3,000 a month Formspark's lead grows over several years. And the $25 price may not last. At the $50 list price, each bundle costs $50, so the Formspark column becomes $50, $50, $50, $50, $150 and $250. Starter at $48/year would then undercut one bundle at 1,000 and 3,000 a month, and its break-even against Pro drops to roughly 4,200 a month.

Spam protection

Formspark's compare table shows automatic spam filtering, Botpoison, hCaptcha, reCAPTCHA and Turnstile, and custom spam words with a honeypot on both Free and the bundle. That is a wider free CAPTCHA choice than Static Forms Free offers.

Static Forms runs honeypot and reCAPTCHA v2 on Free. Cloudflare Turnstile, hCaptcha, reCAPTCHA v3 and the cookie-free Altcha challenge are on Static Forms Starter and up. The form security docs cover each option.

Integrations, autoresponders and file uploads

Formspark's compare table includes webhooks, Slack, Zapier, CSV and JSON exports, analytics, custom email templates and a thank-you page on both Free and the bundle. The autoresponder, REST API, Google Sheets, Notion and branding removal are bundle only. It doesn't mention file uploads.

On Static Forms the split is by plan:

  • Webhooks, with signed payloads you can verify, are on Static Forms Starter and up.
  • Autoresponders are on Static Forms Starter and up.
  • File uploads are on Static Forms Starter and up, up to 4.5MB per submission counting every file and field.
  • AI Reply, which drafts an answer to each submission from your own knowledge base, is on Static Forms Starter and up.
  • Google Sheets sync is on Static Forms Pro and up, as are form rules for routing submissions by what was sent.

If you post from JavaScript, the API reference documents the JSON and form-encoded requests, responses and error codes.

Submission history and team access

Formspark keeps every submission forever, on the free plan too. It also gives the free workspace 10 forms and 5 team members.

Static Forms is stricter on Free. The inbox shows the last 30 days and you get one form with no team seats. Paid plans keep submissions with no time limit by default, and team members start on Pro.

If you need several people looking at the same free inbox, Formspark handles that and Static Forms doesn't.

When Formspark is the better choice

Pick Formspark if one of these fits your project:

  • Your volume sits between about 250 and 12,500 submissions a month and you only need submissions delivered (at the $25 price shown on 30 October 2026). Formspark's bundles cost less than the Static Forms plan that covers the same volume over the first year, and much less over several years.
  • Your traffic is seasonal or spiky. A launch page or event form that is busy for a month and idle for ten wastes most of a monthly allowance. A bundle doesn't care when you spend it.
  • You don't want a subscription. Some clients and some company card policies make a one-time purchase much easier to approve.
  • You need several forms or teammates for free. Formspark's free workspace has 10 forms and 5 team members; Static Forms Free has one form and no team seats.
  • You want webhooks or every CAPTCHA on the free plan. Formspark Free includes webhooks, Slack, Zapier and Botpoison, hCaptcha, reCAPTCHA and Turnstile. Static Forms has no webhooks on Free and only reCAPTCHA v2 and a honeypot; both webhooks and the other CAPTCHAs start on Starter.
  • You want the full archive without paying. Formspark keeps free-plan submissions forever; Static Forms Free shows 30 days.

If any of these describes your project and you're happy where you are, there is no reason to switch.

When Static Forms is the better choice

  • You get 250 submissions or fewer every 30 days. You can stay on Static Forms Free with no end date.
  • You get more than about 12,500 a month. Pro's 25,000 monthly allowance costs less than the bundles you would need.
  • You accept attachments. File uploads are a documented Static Forms feature (Starter and up); Formspark's pricing page doesn't mention them.
  • You want AI-drafted replies. AI Reply drafts a response to each submission (Starter and up); Formspark's pricing page doesn't list it. Autoresponders are paid on both sides: Static Forms (Starter and up), Formspark's bundle.
  • You want submissions routed by content. Form rules send different submissions to different people or integrations (Pro and up).
  • You want a cookie-free CAPTCHA. Altcha is on Static Forms Starter and up.

The hidden honeypot field stays empty for people and gets filled by bots, and Static Forms treats a filled one as spam. The email field becomes the reply-to address on the notification, so you can answer from your inbox.

FAQ

Does Formspark's free plan reset every month?

Formspark's pricing page describes 250 free submissions in your first workspace and one-time bundles after that. It doesn't describe a monthly reset. Static Forms Free resets every 30 days.

How much does Formspark cost?

On 30 October 2026, Formspark's pricing page listed one paid bundle: 50,000 submissions for $25, one-time, shown as 50% off $50. Check its pricing page for the current price.

Does Formspark support file uploads?

Formspark's pricing page doesn't mention file uploads. Static Forms accepts files (Starter and up), up to 4.5MB per submission.

Is a one-time bundle cheaper than a subscription?

For about 250 to 12,500 submissions a month at the $25 price shown on 30 October 2026, yes, for the first year and longer. If the bundle returns to list price, Starter's $48/year would undercut one bundle at 1,000 to 3,000 a month. At up to 250 every 30 days, Static Forms Free costs nothing, and above about 12,500 a month Static Forms Pro costs less.
